The Council of Engineers Thailand (COET), through the Thailand Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (TABEE), participated as an observer in the engineering program accreditation visit conducted by the Indonesia Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) under the Washington Accord on 25–29 November 2025 in Yogyakarta, Republic of Indonesia.
The observation provided valuable insights into IABEE’s accreditation system, including its organizational structure, online evaluation system, accreditation procedures, and program evaluator development, all of which emphasize transparency, evidence-based assessment, and continuous quality improvement. IABEE, as a Full Signatory of the Washington Accord, demonstrated effective use of digital tools to manage documentation, communication, and evaluation processes throughout the accreditation cycle.
This engagement reflects COET’s continued commitment to enhancing Thailand’s engineering education accreditation system, aligning national practices with international standards, and strengthening the capacity
of TABEE toward global recognition and sustainable quality assurance.
