On 6 November 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Quanchai Leepowpanth 1st Vice President and Chairman of the Monitoring Committee (MC) for APEC and ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers, attended the Business Services Sectoral Working Group (BSSWG) meeting in Nha Trang, Viet Nam.
The BSSWG operates under the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Services (CCS) framework and aims to strengthen transparency, connectivity, and mutual understanding among ASEAN Member States in the business services sector particularly in the fields of engineering, architecture, accountancy, and surveying which are governed by the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs).
As Thailand’s Competent Authority in the engineering sector, COET shared information and views to help develop regional cooperation frameworks and policies. COET also played an active role in promoting the professional development and mobility of engineers within ASEAN to ensure alignment with both regional and international standards.
COET’s participation in the BSSWG meeting reflects its strong commitment to enhancing the global competitiveness of Thai engineers and contributing to the long-term growth of the engineering profession and national economy.
