TABEE Objectives

The Thailand Accreditation Board of Engineering Education (TABEE), the Council of Engineers Thailand (COET), sets up the objectives of accreditation of engineering educational program as followings; 

  1. To evaluate program outcomes and quality of engineering education program management as prescribed by TABEE of the Council of Engineers Thailand (COET) and corresponding to recognized international educational accord.
  2. To promote educational institution for providing quality education and continuous quality improvement to program students.
  3. To publicize, to inform and to ensure society, students and individuals that engineering graduate from the accredited program has adequately attained program outcomes according to required graduate attributes for engineering profession and corresponding to recognized international educational accords.

กิจกรรมการตรวจเยี่ยมสถาบันการศึกษาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ชุดที่ 4/2562

คณะผู้ตรวจประเมินมาตรฐานคุณภาพการศึกษาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ได้ตรวจเยี่ยมหลักสูตรวิศวกรรมสิ่งแวดล้อม คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ระหว่างวันที่ 24 – 25 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563

Meeting with IEET on 26 February 2020

เมื่อวันที่ 26 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563 คณะผู้แทน The Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) ได้ประชุมร่วมกับคณะอนุกรรมการรับรองมาตรฐานคุณภาพการศึกษาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ The Thailand Accreditation Board of Engineering Education (TABEE) เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อสังเกตการณ์ตรวจเยี่ยมสถาบันการศึกษาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ชุดที่ 4/2562 สำหรับเป็นแนวทางให้หน่วยงานรับรองมาตรฐานคุณภาพการศึกษาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ (TABEE) พัฒนาระบบการรับรองรับรองมาตรฐานคุณภาพการศึกษาฯ ต่อไป


The International Engineering Alliance (IEA)

The International Engineering Alliance (IEA) is a global not-for-profit organisation, which comprises members from 41 jurisdictions within 29 countries, across seven international agreements. These international agreements govern the recognition of engineering educational qualifications and professional competence. Through the Educational Accords and Competence Agreements members of the International Engineering Alliance establish and enforce internationally bench-marked standards for engineering education and expected competence for engineering practice.


The Washington Accord

The Washington Accord is a multi-lateral agreement between bodies responsible for accreditation or recognition of tertiary-level engineering qualifications within their jurisdictions who have chosen to work collectively to assist the mobility of professional engineers. The signatory bodies are committed to development and recognition of good practice in engineering education. The activities of the Accord signatories (for example in developing exemplars of the graduates’ profiles from certain types of qualification) are intended to assist growing globalization of mutual recognition of engineering qualifications. The Washington Accord is specifically focused on academic programmes which deal with the practice of engineering at the professional level. The Washington Accord acknowledges that accreditation of engineering academic programmes is a key foundation for the practice of engineering at the professional level in each of the countries or territories covered by the Accord.

The Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET)

The Washington Accord Executive Committee formally acknowledges and assign the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) to act as a mentor for Thailand Accreditation board of Engineering Education (TABEE).

The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)


Whereas :

  1. Bothpartiesacknowledge their commitment to enhancing the quality  of  engineering education and having experience in engineering accreditation system in Thailand and Taiwan respective ly;
  2. Both parties share an interest in promoting the quality assurance in engineering education worldwide;
  3. Bothparties are both committed to the quality assurance in professional assessment of engineers.
  4. Bothpartiesare interested in promoting cooperation between them;

Bothpartiestherefore agree to collaborate in matters related to engineering education, accreditation activities, and profess ion al assessment as follows:

  1. Develop procedures to facilitate the exchange of representatives to observe the accreditation activities of both organizations;
  2. Collaborate in the development of workshops to promote principles and practices to address current needs of either party in the accreditation of engineering education and professional assessment;
  3. Develop substantial equivalency in accreditation system under the International Engineering Alliance based on collaboration, information and document exchange, and review of accreditation procedures;
  4. Negotiate and mutually agree to share expenses in the implementation of this Memorandum of Understanding prior to the execution of any projects or services.

This Memorandum of Understanding shall become effective from the date it is signed and may be revised through mutual agreement of both parties or terminated by either party upon six months written notice .
